The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, always ready to provide useful information and recommendations. The location of the guesthouse was perfect, with easy access to the city center and major tourist attractions. One of the best things about this place was the cozy common area, where I could relax and unwind after a long day of exploring.
The double room I stayed in was quite cramped, especially if you have larger suitcases. It would have been more comfortable with a bit more space.

During my Christmas stay, I really enjoyed the spacious lounge area on the top floor of the hotel. It had a well-equipped kitchen, washers and dryers, and a big table where many people could eat together. It was a great place to socialize with other guests and relax after a long day of exploring. the dorm room I stayed in was surprisingly quiet, which made it easy to rest and recharge for the next day's adventures.
One of the downsides of my stay was the unreliable Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, it didn't work in my room, so I had to go to the first floor to use the guest computers.

Great facilities, especially the common area. Convenient location with close proximity to shopping, restaurants, and transportation. Helpful and friendly staff who assisted with finding a doctor and making appointments.
Uncomfortable beds, particularly the European-style double bed which was very hard. Weak wifi in the rooms, had to sit in awkward position to get a signal.

I had an amazing stay at Khaosan Kyoto! The staff's attention to detail and personalized service really stood out. When I mentioned my craving for Chicken Nanban, they not only recommended a great, affordable restaurant but even printed out the menu and gave me a map with directions. The handmade albums in each room, showcasing local sights and restaurants, added a special touch. The communal atmosphere made it easy to meet fellow travelers, and the location was perfect for exploring Kyoto. I highly recommend this guesthouse.

I recently stayed at a lovely guesthouse in Kyoto called Khaosan. The location was perfect, with everything I needed just a short walk away. The internet worked flawlessly throughout the hostel, and the showers were fantastic. The room was clean and spacious enough for two people, and the common room was a pleasant place to relax. The reception staff were helpful, and the guesthouse was conveniently located near all the popular attractions. I would definitely stay here again if given the chance.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Capsule-like bed design with storage underneath makes the room cleaner and tidier. Small area for hanging coats, useful during winter when everyone has heavy jackets. - Near Kawaramachi bus stop and station, with many shops and restaurants in the area. - Close to Kyoto station, a good deal for taxi if traveling with a group. - Clean hostel with an elevator and easy access to a mini market. - Cheap price and friendly staff. - Convenient location near Yasaka Shrine for New Year's Eve.
Felt very well taken care of, no complaints at all.
